Psalm 23

The first part of the day consists of Reflection Stations that guide us through phrases of Psalm 23 with instructions that lead us through reflective activities.

In the second part of the day we allow the word of God to relax our minds as we as a group reflect and meditate on the words of Psalm 23

Power of The Cross

The day starts at 10.00am am with registration and tea/coffee in the Old School Room and finishing at 2.30 pm.

A lunch is included as is tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day.

This day is one where you can sit or kneel and wait for the Lord to lead, to speak, to put thoughts and pictures and prayers into your mind. Rest and relax in the Lord.

As you read and think about the reflection sheets provided, you may wish just to sit quietly, or feel the need to walk about allow the Lord to guide your steps.

Maybe, you would like to write something down, a memory a thought a prayer or something that stirs your heart or your emotions. Words for you to keep.

As The Cross is a Powerful Symbol, the Centre of the Christian life and the Heart of our Christian Faith, on our craft table we have placed white cardboard crosses along with pens, crayons and other items for you to use. You may feel moved to decorate a cross as a keepsake to take home with you

Greed & Grace

This is a half day starting at 10.00 am with registration and tea/coffee in the Old School Room and finishing at 1.00 pm. It also includes morning tea with cakes and biscuits.

The first half of your time will be spent reflecting on the meaning of Greed in our lives and the second half reflecting on God’s Grace. Reflection sheets and stories of Greed & Grace are provided.

The morning ends at the foot of the cross where Greed meets Grace.

Walking with the Lord

The day starts at 10.00 am with registration, tea/coffee in the Old School Room, and finishing at 4.00 pm.

A lunch is included as is tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day.

During this day we follow the ‘Footprints’ poem taking each line of the poem and reflecting on what it means.

You will find 16 large footprints leading from the front door of the church to the Altar. Each footprint represents a line from the poem. As you read and reflect on each line you can, if the Spirit so moves you, take a small footprint from the craft table and either decorate it or maybe write a message on it. You can then place these on the corresponding larger footprint leading to the Altar. You are welcome to use as many of the smaller footprints as you like and at the end of the day you can, if you wish, take the footprints you have decorated home.

This is a day of Meditation and Reflection looking at how has God been forming a mosaic of mercy in your life? and how is God including you in the mosaics of mercy he is shaping in the lives of those around you?

Making sense of our experiences, those things which draw or drive us, can be hard. Our lives can seem like bits of broken pottery or coloured tiles – but reflection and focus can transform them into something beautiful for God.
